—1 hour vinyasa yoga
Yoga was actually pretty tough for me this morning. I’ve been going to vinyasa class every day this week and between that and my 11 mile run yesterday, my muscles were feeling pretty tired. I was having trouble holding poses that are normally a piece of cake for me and I actually got so frustrated that I had to chill out in child’s pose for a while to calm down and reconnect with my breath. In the end, it wound up being a good chance to practice being content with where I am that day, which is something I definitely need to work out more.
My hip flexor was still a little tender this morning and didn’t feel any better after going to yoga this morning, so I decided to skip my run, but not without feeling really guilty. I know in my head it was the right decision, but I still felt like a slacker for not running.

My dad sent some more Valentine’s goodies for me, Scott, and his parents. (We’re living with his parents so we can save up money for our wedding and hopefully a little for a down payment on a house, too.) We got this great Cookies by Design cookie bouquet:
I’m so lucky that my dad is such a great guy because he has taught me what a good guy should be like, which has allowed me to choose a great guy like Scott to spend the rest of my life with.
I hope all of you enjoyed your day, whether you celebrated with your significant other or not. Remember to love yourself every day of the year.
