If you suffer from occasionally stinky workout laundry like I do, you should definitely try out Penguin Sport Wash.
I have had some VERY stinky running laundry while training for various races, especially after runs on hot summer days when my shorts are soaked with sweat by the time I get home. (I know, gross, right?) Training for half and full marathons in the South Carolina summer was a very stinky endeavor. Not to mention all of the hot yoga classes that I had to take during my yoga teacher training and the yoga challenge that I participated in. Heated yoga studios will make you sweat like crazy!

Penguin Sport Wash has been absolutely fantastic in removing all of the funky smells my workout gear gets and works way better than my regular laundry detergent. I also like that it doesn’t leave a residue on my clothes so they maintain their wicking properties, which is really important when you’re sweating a lot.
(Side note: when you’re washing your workout clothes, be sure you’re not using fabric softener. The fabric softener can interfere with the wicking properties of your moisture-wicking fabrics, making them less effective. Luckily if you accidentally add some fabric softener into your load, all you have to do is wash the load again and your problem is solved.)
I like that the wash is relatively unscented so I don’t have to cope with any strong smells coming from my clothing during my workouts like some traditional laundry detergents. In addition, I have sensitive skin and this detergent doesn’t bother my skin, either. No problems with crazy itching spells like I’ve gotten from some standard laundry detergents!
Five thumbs up for Penguin Sport Wash! Which reminds me, I need to go buy some more…
