Hello and happy Halloween! We’re celebrating baby’s first Halloween with a cute, puffy costume that I’ll share photos of later, after her grandparents have seen her in it. I’m in shock that it’s already the end of the month, and that baby’s first birthday is in a week. Time really flies by with a little one.
I’ve been so swamped with work that I haven’t had the chance to write my typical Friday Favorites posts lately (hoping to get back into that soon), but I wanted to share some of the things that I’ve been loving overall in October.
Fall Colors – Fall is my absolute favorite season, and every year I anxiously wait for the trees to turn colors. I grew up with a big, gorgeous sugar maple in my front year, and every year its leaves would turn fiery reds, oranges, and yellows. It was the prettiest tree on the block. We don’t get quite so many pretty trees down in Oklahoma, but I still love seeing the little pops of color. I should get to see more and more in the following weeks.
NOW Essential Oils Nature’s Shield – The thing I’m not loving about fall in Oklahoma? Allergies. Mine were so bad that I couldn’t sleep through the night. I finally went to the doctor wondering if it was a bad cold, but she diagnosed me with seasonal allergies. The joys of moving to a new region of the country. But, I do have to give a huge shoutout to Nature’s Shield oil from NOW Essential Oils (part of NOW Foods). I diffused it on my nightstand when I was really struggling and it helped me finally sleep through the night. I was actually shocked by the huge difference it made. (Disclosure – Even though I’m a NOW Wellness Ambassador, I paid for this bottle myself because I needed and wanted it that badly. :))
Q Cups – (This one I did receive for free from NOW Foods.) I mentioned that I’ve been crazy busy, which means I often don’t have time to make lunch, between caring for and feeding a teething baby and getting my client work done. That means I love any meal solution that’s healthy and easy-to-make. Enter Q Cups. I really love the Savory Mushroom and Garlic flavor–it’s my absolute fave.
Seeing Old Friends – One of our friends from college got married a few weeks ago, so my hubby and I packed up the baby and traveled to the St. Louis area for the big event. We got to catch up with my good friends from college, which was so nice. Especially after moving to a new area, meeting up with old friends just feels like home.
That’s all I have for now! I have to go chase down a baby before she destroys something. 😉
Have a great Halloween and a great November!
