Happy Friday, and happy September, everyone! Seriously, how are we already 2/3 of the way through the year? I seriously don’t know how that happened, although spending a lot of time in an infant-induced sleep deprived state can do that to you. 😉 It’s also Labor Day Weekend here in the US, although we don’t have any big plans. I’m planning to get as much work done as the little one will let me, and I’m hoping to get in some quality time with the hubby, too.

Figs. Speaking of how I’ll be spending my weekend, I’m also going to try to work up a few recipes with these beauties. The folks at California Figs sent me several boxes of figs, so I’ll be playing around with Mission figs, Brown Turkey figs, and Tiger figs, which are the beauties you see above. (They’re delicious, too!) And, you can be sure they’ll be all over my Instagram account too.
My upcoming Set Yourself Apart in Your Niche challenge. I’m really excited about a free 5 day challenge I’m putting on as part of my Blogger to Author project. Starting Monday, September 11, I’ll be helping my fellow bloggers scour their blogs to find content that they can re-purpose into a book. NOW Foods Flax Seed Oil. I try to eat vegetarian and vegan whenever I can, at least one meal a day if not more. That means that I need a good vegetarian source of omega-3s, which is why I try to incorporate flax seeds into my diet. I’ve been adding NOW Foods’ Flax Seed Oil to my smoothies lately. (Full disclosure: I did get this bottle for free to try out as a NOW Wellness ambassador.) It’s nice to have a quick and simple way to make sure I’m getting in the nutrients I need to keep myself healthy, and baby, too, since she’s still breastfeeding.
My hubby. I’ve had meetings or podcast interviews every night this week. My hubby has been really great this week and helping out with the baby so I can do those things interrupted. So thanks, Scott, if you’re reading this! I appreciate all of your help, and I know baby enjoys getting to spend the extra time with you.
