Happy Friday, everyone! If you read yesterday’s post, you know that this week has been absolutely crazy for me. Well, actually, this month has been totally crazy. Between shopping for a new house, heading to BlogFest and FitBloggin’ (recap coming VERY soon!), I’ve hardly been home. And, all of our stuff got packed up on Wednesday and loaded into a moving van yesterday, so it’s been a total whirlwind of a week. But, it’s also been an amazing week, and I’m excited to share some of my favorite things this week.
Finishing Up at the Barre Studio
Like I mentioned in my post about moving forward, it’s not that I didn’t like teaching barre. But, not having to juggle three jobs (teaching and desk shifts at the studio + freelancing + my own blog and business) is going to be a tremendous relief. I’m also excited to have more time in the evenings and over the weekend to spend with my hubby.
For example, since I started teaching barre, I’ve always taught the Sunday morning classes, which meant that I needed to have an earlier bedtime on Saturday. I couldn’t stay late at parties, or even stay up late watching a movie with Scott. I needed to make sure I could bring my A game to work the next day. Now we can relax, have a late dinner, and just have more freedom to enjoy time with each other, friends, and family.

I’m also excited to have more time to put back into the blog. I’ve been so swamped lately and blogging has been one of the things that’s suffered the most. I haven’t had time to read blogs as much as I’d like, and I definitely haven’t had the time I’d like to comment on blogs and do all of the other things that bloggers do. I’m very excited to have more time to get back into my blogging groove. (And, hopefully to create more videos for my YouTube channel, too!)
I have been having some hardcore cravings for acai bowls ever since Erin and I had amazing acai bowls at Twenty Two Juicery in Indianapolis. Mine was a peanut butter acai bowl with bananas and I seriously cannot stop thinking about it. I found a smoothie place near my house that makes smoothie bowls and yesterday I had them make me an acai bowl with added peanut butter. I’m seriously thinking about going back today. At least I’m having healthy pregnancy cravings!
This Amazing Burger
And on to some not-quite-so-healthy food. On our tour of some amazing places to eat in Indy, Erin, Jill, and I stumbled upon Bru Burger Bar, where I had this amazing masterpiece of a turkey burger. It definitely wasn’t the healthiest thing on the menu, but it was beyond amazing. This beautiful turkey burger was topped with horseradish Havarti, an egg, and truffle aioli. The hint of truffle paired amazingly with the egg, cheese, and burger. 100% recommended.
I love hibiscus plants and am sad that we have to leave our hibiscus, Biscus 2, behind in Illinois. However, I do plan to get a Biscus 3 down in Oklahoma, and I’d love to find one of these gorgeous plants. We found this in Downtown Indy and unfortunately it wasn’t labeled with the variety, but I’m definitely going to be searching for a pretty one like this.
That’s about it for this week! I’ll be sharing some more of my favorite foods and moments from Indy in my FitBloggin’ recap, which I plan to have up this weekend. Other than that, I’ll be cleaning our old place today, trying not to let my pregnancy hormones make me cry too much tomorrow when I take Scott to the airport, then spending time with family and hopefully getting to relax a little this weekend, too.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend!
