Friday Favorites #65

01.22.16

Happy Friday! I hope you all have a great weekend planned. I have a lunchtime coffee date scheduled with a good friend, and I’m teaching barre classes Saturday and Sunday morning. Other than that, I’m hoping to get a lot of work done this weekend, and maybe work on packing since my hubby and I be moving at the end of February to the townhouse we went to look at last week, assuming all the paperwork goes through okay. It will be a busy weekend, but it should be a good weekend.

And now, for Friday Faves! Here’s what I’m really loving this week:

erin condren pure barre covers

My new Erin Condren planner covers! I was so jealous when my friend Faith went to the Pure Barre manager/owner summit and got a free Pure Barre Erin Condren planner. I’m still jealous, but I started to feel a little better when I found out that Erin Condren was selling the planners for a limited time on their website. I procrastinated, but finally snuck in under the wire and am now the proud owner of cute Pure Barre covers for my planner, plus some awesome metallic elastic bands to keep my planner together.

Pride and Prejudice is on Netflix! The version with Keira Knightley and Matthew McFayden. I know some people have very strong opinions about which movie version of P&P is the best, and they’ll tell me the one with Colin Firth is much better, but I just love Matthew McFayden as Mr. Darcy for some reason. Lucky (not lucky?) for me, I can stream it all I want on Netflix. Netflix must have heard I bought the Blu-ray a while ago because they didn’t have it. 😉

magic dragon tea

Magic Dragon tea. I know I’ve mentioned tea a lot in my Friday Favorites posts lately, probably because I’m currently a little obsessed. I can stay hydrated with the herbal teas, and it’s nice to have something warm to drink in the winter. My sweet husband took me to David’s last weekend and bought me a few teas, including Magic Dragon, which has dragonfruit and hibiscus, among other things. It is SO GOOD. I’m trying not to drink it all at once, but it’s so tempting! For those of you who are tea fans and like fruity herbal teas, definitely give this one a try!

power greens

Giant bags of Power Greens at Costco. This stuff is my go-to for green smoothies, and I’m so glad Costco has the giant bags. For a few dollars more than the small packages you get at the grocery store, you get a lot more. And, since I use the greens in my smoothies, I can freeze what I’m not going to use right away. So excited.

soft pretzel love

Soft pretzels at the mall. I don’t indulge in them too often, but I love them so much. Scott and I headed to The Container Store to poke around since we’ll be moving and need to organize our stuff both for the move and for our new place, and while we were there we swung by Auntie Anne’s. So. Good.

How good does the Auntie Anne’s Kiosk smell? Maybe better than Cinnabon.

Ooh, close call, but both are too amazingly good. Like can’t resist it good.

Oh man, Auntie Anne’s is seriously my favorite. When I was in college, I worked in the mall across from one and they would give us a HUGE bag of leftovers at the end of hte night to the closing shift. (it helps that it was all guys working at Auntie Anne’s and I worked at a shoe store where no one was really over 25 working there…. hahaha)

      01.24.16 at 10:37 AM

Heck yes! I had a friend who worked at a pretzel place in college and she would always bring home pretzels for us, too. Best study food ever.

that tea sounds great! I love fruity herbals. And I have a hard time resisting Auntie Anne’s. They always smell so good when walking by and the pretzels are so yummy.

I can’t resist, either. Whenever I walk by one I have to buy a pretzel. Luckily I don’t go to the mall too often. 😉

I love that version of Pride & Prejudice too, it’s been forever since I watched it. I guess I know what my Friday night will consist of now.

Heck yes! Do it! Best Friday night ever.

Ooh, Marsha, you should definitely change that! 😉

I haven’t had a soft pretzel in so long! We all have our simple pleasures :-). I love Power Greens as well! I haven’t tried them in smoothies before. This is a great idea! My plans this weekend include time with my stepson and husband and practice with my team for our marathon relay next weekend! Hope you have a great weekend!

Oh yes. Simple, delicious pleasures. 😉 So glad to have fellow Power Greens fan. Hope your practice went well and that your race goes even better next week!

Do you have the Auntie Anne’s app so you can earn points and get free pretzels? I didn’t for the longest time, but finally got it after my snister kept telling me how fab it is. I love soft pretzels, too 🙂

I love that version of P&P! Interestingly, I first saw it in France, and they didn’t show the last scene there! I didn’t see it until I bought the DVD!

Congrats on the town home! Start packing now! You’ll be happy you did 🙂

      01.24.16 at 10:33 AM

WHAT?!?!?! Kim, you just changed my life. Oh my gosh, totally downloading that app RIGHT NOW. Haha, love that you saw it in France. Was it in French? Bet that would be interesting to watch. 🙂 And we did start packing last night, and plan to do more today!

        YAY! Ha ha.

I think it was in English with French subtitles 🙂

        Good luck with packing!

I love that you have a Pure Barre planner cover – that’s awesome! EC planners are so fantastic.

DO IT. Oh, I have a David’s problem… I absolutely love my EC planner, and love that I can change out the covers. It makes it way more fun. 😉

I’ve seriously been getting those bags for years now. Neil and I stock up on 5 or 6 and put half in the freezer since he likes them frozen in his smoothies. They are a lifesaver!

Also, I’m sorry, but Colin Firth FO LIFE.

    • Beth @ Sublimely Fit says

      01.24.16 at 10:30 AM

I guess we can still be friends if you prefer the Colin Firth version. 😉 I can’t believe I didn’t get on the giant bag of greens bandwagon before! Such a better bang for your buck!

No soft pretzels for me! Too “carby”. I have GI issues with stuff like that…

I’m loving Matcha tea. I make iced tea with it.

Wendy, that makes me so sad. Pretzels are the best! 😉 Matcha is amazing. Gotta love that energy burst!
